LANGUAGELAB IS TEACHING PEOPLE FROM 30 COUNTRIES ALL OVER THE WORLD ... FACE TO FACE IN A VIRTUAL WORLD. ARE YOU READY TO JOIN US?
We are looking for progressive and ambitious teachers of English and Spanish to work with Languagelab - at the forefront of Life based learning in Second life. Do you feel able to explore the art of the teaching possible in virtual worlds while delivering high quality 'face to face' classes to students from all over the world?
HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE?
Languagelab is running it's "Teaching Languages in Second Life" training course from beginning of March for 6 - 8 weeks. Successful applicants for this course who complete the programme will be eligible to teach English and Spanish in Languagelab. The course, which is free, requires a commitment of approximately 6 hours a week and the ability to teach between 6 - 20 hours per week with us from soon after completion. |

Essential:
- Must be able to teach approx 6 hours per week
- Recognised qualification in EFL / ESL or the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language
- 2 years experience teaching the language after qualification. Note 1 - 2 years may be acceptable if you have been teaching with a high quality institution
- currently in an active teaching role
- People who are motivated by the potential of teaching 'face to face' in a virtual context.
- a creative urge to explore teaching beyond the classroom walls
- a positive disposition to using technology in support of teaching and a proven ability to learn new skills in this area
- a flexible and problem solving approach
- A fast and reliable broadband internet connection. A PC or laptop capable of running Second Life comfortably |
