Description

Are you an experienced Director of Studies looking for a fulfilling role during the summer? Maybe you've just completed your MA or Diploma in ELT, have extensive teaching experience and are looking for your first challenge as an academic manager.

We are looking for a Director of Studies (DOS), who wants to step up in his/her career, and be responsible for the efficient management of the academic programme at one of our high quality centres.

In addition to a high level of support through a detailed DOS Handbook and a pre-course briefing, you'll have access to a range of EFL resources and administrative assistance whilst at the centre, and be actively supported by the Director of Education & Recruitment, who is based at the head office in Windsor.

The DOS arrives at the centre prior to students together with the rest of the senior staff team, to prepare for the beginning of courses. You'll brief the teachers on their academic duties, ensure that students are tested and placed in classes accordingly and observe teachers giving them constructive feedback. As we have our own syllabus to assist teachers in their preparation and planning, it'll be necessary for you to ensure that these materials are being used effectively.  More information about the role can be found on our website.

Requirements

We are looking for Directors of Studies with a minimum three years’ TEFL experience, proven academic management skills, a Degree and the RSA DELTA/Trinity Dip. TESOL or a Masters level qualification. Candidates with the RSA CELTA/Trinity Cert. TESOL may also be considered.

Knowledge of ELT exams is required, as students take the Trinity College exams prior to their departure at most of our centres.

Free full board accommodation, and access to extensive leisure facilities is provided.

All staff are paid an additional 12.12% of their stated salary as statutory holiday entitlement, and also work an average six-day week.

We also offer a 'Thank you' of £100 for each friend or colleague you introduce whom we successfully employ!
