Residential EFL Teachers

Lines Languages is looking for enthusiastic teachers to join our established team next summer at our British Council accredited centres.

We offer residential English immersion courses for students aged 8-18 years during July and August. Average class size: 7-8. Additional staff are employed to run the activities programme and for house parent duties.

Teachers can expect to be in the classroom for 6 hours per day, 4 days per week and to accompany an excursion on the fifth day. They are asked to eat their meals with the students and to help enforce the English only rule at all times. Teachers can also expect to be free every evening except the weekly entertainment’s evening and most weekends until late Sunday afternoon when they are asked to help in the evaluation of new students.

Teachers are also expected to attend meetings and workshops with their DoS and to write evaluations and reports for departing students.

Teachers will be helping students prepare for KET/PET/FCE exams.

Requirements

Applicants should be qualified to degree level and hold a Cert or Dip TEFL or QTS qualification. They should also either hold a EU passport or a work permit for the UK.
