Description
Summary:
Long established BCAccredited summer school provider looking for non-residential teachers for centres in Reading, Bristol, Guildford and Haslemere. ( earliest start date June 25th or July 2nd) Also residential positions at our Rickmansworth centre (NW London)for up to 4 weeks from 7th July.
Details:
Reading from 25/6 for up to 6 weeks
Guildford from 2/7 for up to 5 weeks
Haslemere 4 weeks from 2/7 with juniors aged 8-14yrs
Bristol from 25/6 for up to 5 weeks
Rickmansworth up to 4 weeks from 7/7 (full board accommodation provided.
Enthusiasm and flexibility are key criteria for working with EJO.
Responsible for:
Providing a stimulating, challenging and enjoyable learning experience for students·
Teaching the number of lessons prescribed for the course and carrying out all associated duties including keeping accurate records and maintaining class discipline·
Supporting the social and activity programme and being fully involved in this
Helping to ensure all students have an enjoyable and worthwhile stay in England.
5 or 6 days per week according to the programme ) Non residential positions include one evening per week) Residential 6 day week.
Weekly staff meetings must also be attended, generally before lessons start in the
morning.
The Courses
Range from single nationality groups of 30 -90 students, to international courses with up to 200 students during peak weeks. Max class size 16 students.
Qualifications:
Must have recognised EFL teaching qualification or have QTS.
What else do applicants need to
know?
Under British Council regulations and in accordance with the
Children Act 1989:-
• EJO will ask applicants’ referees to confirm that
to the best of their knowledge and belief they are suitable to work with
children.
• CRBchecks may be carried out .
• staff asked to confirm that they have no criminal record and that there is no reason
why they should not be considered suitable to work with
children.

Requirements
CELTA, Cert TESOL (or equivalent) and QTS teachers can be considered for vacancies on any of the junior courses. Senior Teacher positions require candidates to have the DELTA or equivalent.
There are some non-teaching vacancies for graduates without TEFL qualifications and experience.
