Description

UK Study is looking for dynamic Local EFL Teachers with lively personalities and lots of energy to teach students aged between 11 and 18.

Teachers must be able to work on their own initiative and work well as part of a team. The role of  Local Teacher is demanding but is also very rewarding for those who enjoy working with young learners.

Local Teachers are expected to encourage students to participate in all aspects of the English language and activity programmes with stimulating lessons and activities that provide students with opportunities to use their new language skills.

Local Teachers will be responsible to the Head Teacher and will assist the Head Teacher in the entry test and the grouping of students, will plan lessons based on the preparation for the Trinity College of London Graded Examinations in Spoken English and monitor class progress. Local Teachers will also be required to keep a lesson diary, class registers, assessment records for each student and to complete an end of course student evaluation form.

In addition to the above Local Teachers are also expected to participate in afternoon activities on a rota basis and to go on excursions when required.

Working hours are from 9am to 6pm.

Requirements

Candidates should be mother tongue English speakers and be CELTA (or equivalent) qualified with a minimum of one years’ teaching experience, including students aged 11-18.

Ideally, the candidate should be familiar with the preparation for the Trinity College of London Graded Examinations in Spoken English.
