We are currently recruiting fun, enthusiastic, friendly people as Teachers in our summer language centres.
The Recreational Programme Manager primary role is the implementation, smooth running, administration and ultimately successful delivery of all aspects of the Summer School Recreational Programme.
Key Responsibilities:
* To plan and deliver a high quality activity and excursion programme, creating a highly motivated team of activity staff and promoting fun and enthusiasm between staff, group leader and students
* To provide training and regularly observe all activity staff
* To effectively plan and manage a day to day staff rota and ensure all activity staff are prepared and present at their activity sessions
* To ensure activities and excursions are run according to Ardmore Language Schools procedures and rules
* To liaise with Head Office (HO) on maintaining activity staffing levels, including staff payroll details and rota
* To liaise with the Academic Programme Manager (APM) to ensure that the activities programme and academic programme are integrated successfully
* To ensure that activity notice boards and posters are updated and presentable
* To assist and support the centre management team in residential supervision duties, including meal supervision, bedtime supervision and additional welfare duties on a rota basis.
* To represent Ardmore Language Schools positively and with confidence in all conversations with clients, staff and the host centre.
* To assist the Centre Director to set up and close the centre.
* To ensure that Ardmore Language School Health & Safety policies are implemented and adhered to at all times.
* Support the Centre Director in the overall management of the centre |

Personal Specification
Essential:
* Enthusiasm and ability to motivate a team or activity staff and students
* Previous experience of running an activity / leisure programme
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to change
* Team player
* Previous summer school experience
Recommended:
* Previous residential experience
* Previous activity manager / leader experience
* First Aid qualification
* Lifeguard / Coaching qualification*
* Increments will be paid to staff who hold relevant qualifications – please refer to 2008 salary table for details |
