Summer EFL Teachers

Description

Kings School Bournemouth summer courses run from 21 June – 27 August, and are aimed at short-stay students wishing to combine a language course with a holiday. The minimum age is 14 on our vacation course, and 16 on our adult courses.
 
In order to accommodate large student numbers, we operate a shift system, so the teaching timetable may involve a combination of mornings, afternoons and full days. Teachers may be employed for between 2 and 10 weeks, for a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 40 lessons per week (each lesson is 45 minutes), depending on numbers. Lessons take place between 8.45 am and 6.00 pm Monday – Friday. Teachers do not need to be involved in activities or excursions.
 
Teachers employed by Kings are given full support and training as appropriate. We have a prescribed syllabus which dictates what should be taught each week, and a huge range of supplementary material.

Requirements

Applicants must have a university degree and a CELTA (or equivalent) qualification. Previous teaching experience, especially with younger learners, is desirable. Energy and enthusiasm are also essential qualities!
