Frontier was established in 1989 as a non-profit conservation and development non-governmental organisation (NGO) dedicated to safeguarding biodiversity and ecosystem integrity and building sustainable livelihoods for marginalised communities in the world's poorest countries. Take part in our wide and diverse range of projects in over twenty countries worldwide. All of our projects are long-term partnerships between Frontier, local NGOs and community organisations, government agencies and research and conservation institutes and all aim to build coalitions between stakeholders at the local, national, and international level. Training and education are crucial core values of Frontier. Training is given to volunteers, interns, Frontier staff, and to our partners and beneficiaries in-country. Our highly qualified UK and field staff teams will ensure that you receive quality training on your project. Not only can you work abroad with us, but we offer you the opportunity to formalise your training with a number of internationally recognised, endorsed and accredited qualifications. Get more out of your gap year, year out or career break with a range of qualifications to suit your career path.
