This is a short term job teaching Young Learners between 6-17 years old. Students come from various countries to Ilfracombe to have an exciting time whilst learning and practising English. Students live with host families or in a residence and will come to the school to have lessons either in the morning or the afternoon. The evenings are mostly free. Teachers will be given a full induction and we will also offer some professional development sessions.

Fantastic opportunity for appropriately qualified Teachers of English to join our small, friendly team. Situated on the stunning North Devon coast, Country Cousins (founded 1951) is a small family-run business and we successfully welcome hundreds of students every year. We can offer employment from mid June until the end of August in our Channel School of English. Teachers are required to teach up to 30 hours a week. Teachers coming from outside the area are also required to find accommodation within the area but the school will be able to help out. Accommodation to be paid for by the teacher but your salary will be adequate to do so.

Applicants should be: CELTA, Trinity TESOL or B.Ed (modern languages) qualified teachers. Other qualifications meeting British Council recognised junior course standards will also be considered. Weekend TEFL courses and on-line courses without observed and assessed teaching practice will not be considered as they do not comply with British Council standards.

Experience of teaching juniors would be beneficial but enthusiasm, motivation and being part of a team are just as important.

We welcome newly qualified teachers looking for a first teaching position who can demonstrate that they can be a valuable member of the team. We also welcome teachers who are only available for shorter work periods starting mid June.
