Job Summary

We are looking for dynamic, well qualified and highly responsible EFL teachers to join our team from July 7th to July 19th and from July 11th to 24th, in our short term Residential young learners Centres throughout the U.K.
Accommodated directly within the College with the rest of our team, you will be providing English tuition as well as accompanying, supporting and supervising the students on excursions and during sports and cultural activities, meal times, wake-up and lights out (on a rota basis).

Details of Position

Your key responsibilities:
- Teaching English 15 hours per week to groups of about 12-15 French students aged between 10 to 14 or 14 to 17.
- Accompanying, supporting and supervising students on excursions, and during sports and activities.
- Supervising students during wake-up, meal times and lights out, along with your fellow team members (on a rota basis).
- Duties include all aspects of tuition, monitoring students in the college, as well as leadership and supervision during activities. These are residential courses so an element of pastoral care and evening supervision is required, as well as an engagement in all aspects of life in the college (on a rota basis).
- Working side-by-side with French staff, maintaining proper levels of student discipline, ensuring the well-being, safety and welfare of the students at all times.


Salary and Benefits

- Full-board accommodation and catering included.
- Rates of pay: Fees for a one-week stay (all inclusive): £450 + free accommodation and full board 
Fees for a two-week stay (all inclusive): £800 + free accommodation and full board
- We also pay for your travel expenses from your home in the U.K. to the location of the College (back and forth).
- Method of payment: by direct bank transfer from Paris to your UK personal account (the account has to be in your name).

An enhanced DBS check is requested prior confirmation of appointment
- Two references are requested and they include enquiry about suitability to work with under 18 years old students.
Proof of identity and qualifications are required


Your personal qualities and credentials:

You are a qualified EFL teacher, and possess one of the following qualifications:
2 A-levels or degree + TEFL Cambridge CELTA
2 A-levels or degree + TEFL Trinity College CELTA
2 A-levels or degree + PCGE
English or foreign language teacher with QTS status

If you have no qualification in TEFL, you must have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by virtue of a qualification recognized by the DfEE to teach other academic subjects or particular age groups. Experience working with children/teenagers would be an advantage.
You are enthusiastic, energetic, organized, confident about teaching, adaptable and able to work as part of a team in a multicultural environment and you have a flexible, co-operative and responsible attitude
You are mature enough to deal with students between 10 to 14 or 14 to 17 years of age.
Experience working with children/teenagers would be an advantage
